Our motto: Break the cliché! Discover social entrepreneurship.
Do you want to change the world without giving away “the shirt off your back”? To be an entrepreneur and environmentalist at the same time? To design community-oriented entrepreneurial projects? impACT³ – the student competition in social entrepreneurship – offers the opportunity and framework in which to revise preconceived ideas and develop new ways of thinking. Managers and entrepreneurs are not always males who are only interested in maximizing profits, nor are prospective graduates always innocents, or creative people always female with no knowledge of economic theories.
In only seven weeks, the 25 student project teams from Germany, Denmark, Great Britain and Hungary will reveal how the managers of tomorrow are developing social entrepreneurship today.
It already started on 22nd August with a Summer School at Jacobs University Bremen: New business models will be planned and their implementation designed by the teams. Since 7th September on you can follow the teams’ progress – with all its problems and challenges. Contact the teams! All support is quite welcome.
And finally: from 26th October till 18 November 2009, the public nominated the ten best teams for the final. On 8 December 2009 the jury decided, which three teams have won the competition. Please click here to see the winners.
