Student competition in social entrepreneurship

The official competition language is English. Due to the many different nationalities of participants, the Summer School will be held in English. Final reports will also be written in English.

However, the language you use for communicating in the team, creating awareness or documenting your work on www.act-for-impact.net is up to you. In order to inspire your neighbours, friends and ‘fans’ as well as interested neutral visitors to place their votes with your team, you may upload press reports or material in any language that is convenient. The polling software is quite flexible to facilitate broad public participation and many votes. Most parts of the platform will be presented both in English and German.

5 teams were invited to present their initiatives during the award ceremony on 8th of December 2009 at Jacobs University Bremen. Only three teams were to win impACT3 awards. An independent jury of experts decided, who had the most innovative idea, created significant impact for the public good and convinced with a report and presentation. What did they make out of 4 EUR seed capital and which teams won 9.000 EUR prize money?
